چکیده

Objectives: To systematically review the incidence of postoperative complications and adverse events following primary ACLR with quadriceps tendon autograft, while secondarily comparing reported rates in an all-soft tissue (QT) graft relative to grafts a patellar bone plug (QTPB). Methods: Two independent authors conducted literature search using PubMed, Embase, Scopus databases Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The strategy included keywords combined Boolean operators: ‘Anterior Cruciate Ligament’, ‘ACL’ ‘Reconstruction’, ‘Quadriceps Tendon’. Inclusion criteria consisted level I IV human clinical studies English or English-language translation reporting after autograft. overall throughout studies, as well specific were extracted. A 2- proportion z-test was performed evaluate potential differences between without plug. Results: total twenty consisting 2,381 patients (2,389 knees) mean age 27 (mean range, 12 - 58) years, 68.3% males (n=1626/2381), identified. follow-up 28.5 6 – 47) months. 10.3% (n = 246/2389 patients), persistent post-operative knee pain being most common, seen 10.8% 91/843) knees. Patients who underwent ACL reconstruction QT had increased (23.3%) reoperations (5.9%) when compared QTPB (8.6% 3.2%, respectively) (p < .01). Nontraumatic ruptures greater (2.1%) (0.5%) 0.01). There no appreciable difference complications, failures, traumatic rupture, revisions, cyclops lesions, arthrofibrosis (all, p > 0.05). Patellar fractures occurred exclusively (2.2%). Conclusions: Complications autograft recorded 10.5% knees, common which is pain. No use versus grafts, however 2.7x QT. [Table: see text][Table: text]

ACL reconstruction using quadriceps tendon.

Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is one of the most commonly performed1 and most successful procedures in sports medicine. Various autograft choices have been used for ACL reconstruction,2 and the results in terms of stability and return to sports activities have been good.3 The ideal autograft should have optimal mechanical properties and low donor-site morbidity. T...

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction with quadriceps tendon autograft and press-fit fixation using an anteromedial portal technique

BACKGROUND This article describes an arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction technique with a quadriceps tendon autograft using an anteromedial portal technique. METHODS A 5 cm quadriceps tendon graft is harvested with an adjacent 2 cm bone block. The femoral tunnel is created through a low anteromedial portal in its anatomical position. The tibial tunnel is created with ...
